40 days...

40 days until the launch. It was suggested yesterday during our meeting that each person in the group fast something during these 40 days.

We loved the idea and everyone will decide on their own what they will fast. After all it is between the Lord and them. I know what I will fast and believe me it will be hard with Easter being around the corner! But I can do it. Philippians 4:13 says "We can do all things through Him who gives us strength." So I will be strong... but I will miss the chocolate! *grin*

Also, Tyler strongly suggested that every person in the group have 2-3 accountability partners - including one from outside of H.E.A.T. . Rob and I agreed with this. It is important for leaders to be accountable. Everyone has about 2 weeks to think about who they will ask to be their accountability partners.

The countdown has started indeed.

We are launching on April 12th, 2008. We got the venue at a reasonable price and it is close to the Ottawa U as well as downtown.

We are very excited about the whole thing. Even the kids are asking when they will go to the new church.

We had an amazing time last night praying and discussing about the various things touching H.E.A.T. in the months to come.

We are also planning a trip to Pennsylvania to check out Club Worship. Everyone is excited about this as well.

Two of our members will be on mission during the summer at Manitoulin Island. So we will miss them greatly but mission is in our hearts and we are encouraging them and praying for them.

Last time, I share about what happened with the whole venue story. Well I didn't know that Tyler had shared some scriptures with Rob about a week before their visit. God had spoken to him and gave him two scriptures about H.E.A.T. ! The first one is Genesis 12 where God tells Abraham to leave his country, his relatives, his father's house, and go to the land that He will show him. The second scripture is Genesis 28 where Jacob goes back to the land where Abraham came from. Then they talked about the fact that it was interesting that God is bringing H.E.A.T. back to where it got prayed for more than 15 years ago and where the first team had been formed.

Well let me tell you that the story do not finish there... The day they went to visit the facility, they stayed for the service. That day, the Reverend spoke about Genesis 12 and Genesis 28! What are the odds? It was a confirmation from God to us that we needed to be there!

So now we are counting the days. Praying that our sound equipment as well as the laptop will arrive sooner than what is planned. The kids are excited and they have a calendar on which they can cross-out the days... It's nice to see them looking forward to start a new adventure. Praise God for their hearts and for their enthusiasm!
